Hungry and lonely? Welcome to Lood, a fun and interactive app that helps people with similar food cravings to meet and chat! The best way to talk is with food, and Lood is an app that will get rid of those random conversation starters, awkward silences, or pick-up lines with a similar interest of food!When the users get hungry and lonely, this app will allow them to browse through images of food and match with those that have similar cravings! With Lood, you won't need to eat by yourself anymore! (Best viewed on mobile)
About
Food has always been the most important aspect in my life, and when the pandemic, I was wondering if there was a way to make a fun interactive way to connect people through food. Eventually, I saw that a small team made an app that connected people through restaurants and thought that was really neat. So for my third project, I wanted to use the skills I learned from General Assembly and make an app that connected people through images of food using React.js. Originally, I wanted to gather photos of food from the vicinity of the user from various restaurants, but with the time crunch and a lack of knowledge of the backend side of programming, which I was excited to learn eventually in my bootcamp.
